CP27 certification program will expand competencies in asset, financial and real property management.

Housing Managers and Housing Management Specialists work in five distinct Housing programs: Housing Services Office, Unaccompanied Housing, Family Housing, Residential Communities Initiative and Lodging.

What continued efforts does the Army have planned?

The Army will continue to improve upon its’ ability to support housing for Soldiers and Families by providing well-trained Housing Professionals by:

  • On-boarding up to eight Army Apprentices to participate in the rigorous two-year, full-time housing management development training program
  • FY20, execution of the CP27 Training, Certification, Marketing, Branding and Image Strategy that will deliver a competency-based credentialing system to promote and obtain individual competency certifications.
  • Develop and execute a marketing/image strategy and communications plan to expand Housing and CP27 program awareness through digital media.

Why is this important to the Army?

Housing management professionals support Soldier and Family readiness by ensuring Army housing, both on and off installations, meets health and safety standards.
