The U.S. Army Exhibit

What is it?

The U.S. Army Exhibit, at Booth #1775, is a must-see, interactive, audio-visual experience featured at the Association of the United States Army's Annual Meeting and Exposition, to be held Oct. 10-12, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. It is the Army's centerpiece military exhibit serving to effectively communicate the mission, vision and values of America's Army.

The theme continues: America's Army: The Strength of the Nation.

What has the Army done?

Throughout the three-day meeting, the exhibit's presenters and media products will focus on telling visitors why the Army is the 'Strength of the Nation'; educate the Army community through interactive presentations; and inspire participants through videos highlighting the many contributions of Soldiers and other pillars of strength who support the Army.

The Army Exhibit is broken down into three sections: Warriors Corner, Marquee Theater and Interactive Display. Warriors Corner provides a prominent forum for 17 live presentations that focus on current operations and Army initiatives, each followed by question-and-answer sessions. In the Marquee Theater, two videos will air continuously. The first video is 'The Squad' and the second video is entitled 'The Army Profession.' The interactive area features a presentation highlighting the Army's transition in the crucible of war for the past 10 years as it evolved to meet both current needs and future requirements. Employing moderators using advanced gesture-driven and touch screen technology, the audience participates in this informative presentation, at interactive pods. Further, there will be a demonstration on how the Army is using cutting-edge interactive concepts from the Institute for Creative Technologies, to address various training and leader development requirements.

Why is this important to the Army?

The U.S. Army Exhibit seeks to provide content that communicates key Army messages based on our strategic communication priorities, including: Modernization, Health of the Force, Leader Development, Efficiencies, Medical Innovations, Transforming the Institutional Army, and Army Force Generation.

What is planned for the future?

The U.S. Army will continue to leverage opportunities to engage audiences to tell the Army story. After Oct . 1, Army advocates are encouraged to visit The U.S. Army's official website www.army.mil for additional resources on the Army's participation at the AUSA.

The information papers -- written, approved and submitted by the Army agencies -- provide a broad, objective view of the Army’s current operations, doctrine and programs. The "Today’s Focus" topics highlight Army Staff initiatives and support Army wide strategic-level issues.

All published editions are sent to subscribers via email and archived daily in the STAND-TO! Archives.
