The Office of the Chief, Legislative Liaison (OCLL) is the largest legislative affairs organization in the Department of Defense. Charged with integrating the Army’s congressional efforts, the members of OCLL support Army communications with Congress. OCLL accomplishes its mission in a variety of ways. It prepares Army senior leaders to testify before Congress and serves as a conduit for Army leaders to inform Congress on Army programs. OCLL ensures timely and accurate responses to congressional inquiries, supports legislative initiatives, and conducts congressional travel to Army locations around the world.
