Fort Sam kicks off Army Emergency Relief Campaign

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas " Military and civilian leaders from Fort Sam Houston join Army Emergency Relief leaders to kick off the annual AER Campaign March 12 at the Army Community Services building. The theme of this year's nationwide campaign is "Supporting Soldiers and their Families " Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," and runs through May 15.

For the last three years Shelby has been first to contribute to the FSH AER campaign. McQueen is deputy commanding general for support, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army). In keeping with this year's nationwide theme, "Supporting Soldiers and their Families " Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," McQueen said AER is all about Soldiers and their families helping each other. McQueen is the deputy commanding general for support, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army). Vollmecke is the commanding general for Mission and Installation Contracting Command; Rhoades is his senior enlisted leader.
