Lt. Dan visits wounded warriors at WFSC

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Gary Sinise, who is often known for his portrayal of Lt. Dan in the Oscar-winning film "Forrest Gump," poses March 7 with retired Staff Sgt. Daniel Thornhill and his mother Susan during Sinise's visit to the Warrior and Family Support Center. Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band played a free concert at Brooke Army Medical Center for wounded warriors, service members and their families. He made an unscheduled visit to the center to meet with wounded warriors and staff members. "I can never do enough for our wounded warriors and the men and women serving our country," he said. "This is a beautiful facility."

Ronny Fryar, deputy commander for Allied Health, Brooke Army Medical Center. Sinise, who is often known for his portrayal of Lt.
