YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- Leaders from U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, South Korea, visited the Republic of Korea's Ministry of National Defense (MND) Service Support Group to strengthen the friendship and alliance between the R.O.K. and U.S. here, March 12.

The MND Service Support Group has enriched various events for the Yongsan community, including the Korean-American Friendship Concert, Lunar New Year's Reception and the Fall Festival by providing its National Honor Guard and Orchestra teams.

Col. Michael E. Masley, garrison commander for U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, and several members of his team, visited the MND Service Support Group to express their gratitude for MND's generous support and to share thoughts for an even more close cooperation between the two partners.

"Thank you for your invite," Masley said to the MND group. "Being a good neighbor is our goal, and we will continue to share information and help each other in every way possible."

Masley said he enjoyed the soprano performance during the Korean-American Friendship Concert, and hopes such an event continues as a tradition between the good neighbors.

"Thank you for your visit," said Brig. Gen. Ryu Ji Yong, commander for the Ministry of National Defense's Service Support Group. "I hope today's conference helps the mutual relation between Yongsan Garrison and our group. By sharing opinions, we can establish a more (inclusive) system that is essential to our missions and will strengthen the R.O.K.-U.S. alliance"

Both sides agreed that a close cooperation is the key to a strong alliance.
