PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Service members are invited to attend the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Pebble Beach for free a few days of the event, which spans Feb. 4-10. Thousands of fans attend the tournament every year. Notable professionals scheduled to compete this year include John Daly, D.A. Points, Davis Love III, David Duval, Lee Janzen, Dustin Johnson, Geoff Ogilvy, Vijay Singh, as well as defending champion Phil Mickelson.
MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY
On Feb. 6, military members are invited to attend military-appreciation day, which coincides with one of the popular events of the week, the 3-M Celebrity Challenge.
This year's scheduled celebrities include Jake Owens, Charles Kelley, Michael Bolton, Josh Duhamel, Kenny G, Andy Garcia, Huey Lewis, Bill Murray, Ray Romano, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, Clay Walker, Darius Rucker, and Chris O'Donnell.
The event was won last year by the team of Chris Berman and Lucas Black.
Free tickets for military-appreciation day are limited to two per person and can be picked up at any ticket booth at Pebble Beach the morning of Feb. 6 with a military identification. Military uniform is not required, but encouraged.
Also, last year, a few lucky service members in uniform were pulled aside to caddy for some of the celebrities.

SUPPORT-OUR-TROOPS TICKETS
The Monterey Peninsula Foundation donated tickets each day for a limited number of active-duty military personnel to attend the tournament Feb. 8-10.
The support-our-troops tickets will be available in front of the Aiso Library each morning. A service member may also pick up a ticket for his or her spouse. Service members must show military ID to get the tickets.
Additionally, service members should plan to take the free Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation shuttle to the event because parking is very limited and expensive during the tournament. The shuttle departs Aiso Library four times each day.
Tickets and bus transportation are limited to a first-come-first-serve basis. Specific times and locations will be posted at www.monterey.army.mil after they are finalized.
Another option is to take a bus from the California State University-Monterey Bay location next to Ord Military Community. However, the CSUMB return lines in the afternoon are extremely long. While the CSUMB busses are free, riders must show their tournament tickets before boarding.
Attendees should note that there will be no cameras allowed at the tournament Feb. 8-10.
MILITARY-APPRECIATION TENT
Service members are also highly encouraged to visit the military-appreciation tent located along the 15th fairway on the Pebble Beach Golf Links where free refreshments and snacks will be available.
