Sagamihara, Zama residents' tour of Camp Zama provides insight on US-Japan bilateral relationship

CAMP ZAMA, Japan (Jan. 30, 2013) -- Col. Eric Tilley, U.S. Army Garrison Japan commander, briefs the mission of his unit and stresses the importance of a strong bilateral relationship between Japan and the U.S. Army to local representatives from Zama and Sagamihara cities at the Camp Zama Community Club who visited the installation Jan. 29. Col. Yoshihiro Yamasaki, commander of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's 4th Engineer Group, also gave a briefing on his unit, as well as the JGSDF's Central Readiness Force, which will relocate to Camp Zama in March. Sixty-eight guests attended the one-day tour at the installation.
