FORT DRUM, N.Y. -- Sgt. Matt Rayburn, a mortar man assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, plays with his son Matthew during a deployment farewell held Friday on Fort Drum. Rayburn is one of several Soldiers who said goodbye to their Families before boarding a plane for Afghanistan. This deployment will be his third.
