REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- Three of the U.S. Army Materiel Command's subordinate organizations received Army Lean Six Sigma Excellence Awards at the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes, Jan. 10.
Under Secretary of the Army the Honorable Joseph W. Westphal hosted the ceremony. The awardees are:
Tobyhanna Army Depot receiving an award in the non-enterprise level Green Belt Project category.
Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command and U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command receiving an award in the non-gated project team award category.
All nominations for the 2012 Army Lean Six Sigma Excellence Award Program (LEAP) have been assessed by an Army Board of Examiners comprised of 13 representatives from organizations across the Army.
A total of 894 Lean Six Sigma project were submitted for consideration, with only 11 winners.
