Ironhorse Brigade runs for first time with new commander

Running alongside his fellow Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment troopers, Los Angeles native Sgt. Valentine Arreola, a Co. C team leader, carries the guidon for his company during the 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division run May 21 on Battalion Avenue at Fort Hood, Texas. The run marked the first time the brigade's Soldiers have run with their new commander, Sioux Falls, S.D. native Col. Tobin L. Green.

Green, commander, 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cav. Div. lead the Ironhorse Brigade's Soldiers in a run down Battalion Avenue on Fort Hood, Texas May 21. The event marked the first time since taking command of the Ironhorse Brigade that Green has run with his troopers.
