BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan--Lieutenant Colonel Teresa R. Bierd was promoted to her current rank by Col. Mark A. Paget, 401st Army Field Support Brigade commander during a promotion ceremony held at Logistics Civil Augmentation Program's Bagram headquarters Dec. 26.

Bierd, a Florence, Ala. native, is a member of the Army Reserve currently deployed as a LOGCAP support officer. She is a dietician by military occupational specialty and is a registered dietician in her civilian career. During her promotion ceremony she joked that she's never served as a dietician while on active duty. Her new job will focus on logistics and LOGCAP drawdown.
