VILSECK, Germany -- The Vilseck Dental Clinic will relocate to Buildings 154 and 155 beginning Dec. 17 due to a project designed to modernize its current facility in Building 250. Buildings 154 and 155 are located behind the Vilseck Transportation and Housing building and in front of the mTBI Clinic.
"The move will temporarily affect services beginning Dec. 7 at 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14," said Lt. Col. Brett Henson, Officer in Charge of Vilseck Dental Clinic. "I appreciate the community's patience and understanding of the limited dental services during the dental clinic's temporary relocation. Once this move is completed, we will be offering the same outstanding dental care that is currently available in Building 250."
Sick call and emergency dental services will be available at the current location until the move is complete, but all normally scheduled services are temporarily unavailable during the weeklong move.
Patients may be referred to the dental clinic in Grafenwoehr in order to fill in the weeklong gap in services. Patients seeking dental care from Dec. 10 to Dec. 14 should still report to Building 250 or call the front desk at 476-1520.
The renovation projects, which total more than $7.7 million, are scheduled to last 18 months at which point the facility will relocate back to its original building.
The purpose of the renovations is to update the building to meet current codes, said Eric Wolff, Bavaria Medical Department Activity Facility Management Branch chief, who oversees construction projects for military medical and dental facilities in Bavaria.
