2 Soldiers pay price for transgressions

At a general court-martial convened on Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany, Oct. 9, Staff Sgt. Robert A. Norton, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 16th Special Troops Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, was found guilty, in accordance with his pleas, of one charge and two specifications of a violation of Article 109, UCMJ, damage to private property; and one charge and one specification of a violation of Article 134, UCMJ, unlawful entry.

A military judge sentenced Norton to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of sergeant (E-5), to forfeit $300 per month for five months, and to be confined for a period of five months.

At a special court-martial convened on Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany, Oct. 9, Pvt. Johnell Jolivette, 317th Maintenance Company, 391st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, was found guilty, in accordance with his pleas, of one charge and one specification of a violation Article 86, UCMJ, failure to report; and one charge and five specifications of Article 112a, UCMJ, wrongful distribution of a controlled substance.

A military judge sentenced Jolivette to forfeit $700 per month for nine months, to be confined for a period of nine months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
