WASHINGTON (Nov. 13, 2012) -- Staff members from the Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region, Joint Task Force - National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington discussed various issues with Maj. Gen. Michael S. Linnington, JFHQ-NCR/MDW commanding general, during a Town Hall meeting held in the National Defense University's Lincoln Auditorium at Fort Lesley J. McNair.
Town Hall meetings are important methods of communication within an organization and provide an important face-to-face opportunity to recognize individual achievement and reflect on the command's accomplishments, as well as address many events and concerns for the months ahead.
Various Town Hall speakers highlighted the upcoming 57th Presidential Inauguration and the multiple events that will transpire prior to January 2013 regarding preparation, coordination, rules and regulations.
Winter safety was another topic discussed. Cold weather tips, driving safety in inclement weather, and cold weather preparations were stressed as the winter months draw near.
"On Inauguration Day, don't let frost bite 'bite' you," said Kerry K. Bonos, JFHQ-NCR/MDW command safety director. "You definitely need to protect yourself and your buddy."
