Taking it to the ice

The Bayern Rangers played two fast, friendly games with the Boehiem Knights, recently.

The first game was hosted by the Knights in Pegnitz, Oct. 28. Playing under the stars at the Knight open-air home rink, the teams skated to an 8-8 tie.

A week later at a game hosted by the Rangers in Weiden, Nov. 4, the Knights won in a decisive 6-0 win.

The Rangers will continue to practice, recruit new players and scrimmage with local German teams in preparation for the 21st annual U.S. Air Forces in Europe military ice hockey championships at the Olympic stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Feb. 14-16, 2013.
