Col. Pierre Gervais, 470th Military Intelligence Brigade commander, will serve as the featured speaker at the Veterans Day observance in Boerne, Texas.
Boerne's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 688 is sponsoring the event, which will begin at 11 a.m. -- the eleventh hour of the eleventh day, recalling the exact time the armistice went into effect to end World War I.
The event will take place in Veterans Park, 801 S. Main Street, Boerne, and includes participation by the Boerne High Schol Choir, Samuel V. Champion High School Band, and Air Force Junior ROTC.
