FORT DRUM, N.Y. - Members of the 10th Mountain Division Combat Aviation Brigade left this morning for Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts to better position themselves for possible hurricane relief support. Eight UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters with trained and equipped crews are better positioned and prepared to support hurricane relief missions if requested.

"Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division trains to be ready for the unexpected whether it's downrange or in our own backyard. We stand ready to support our fellow community members during this national emergency," said Col. (P) Walter E. Piatt, Fort Drum and 10th Mountain Division (LI) deputy commanding general.
