SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 5, 2012) -- LTC David Brushwein, a U.S. Army National Guardsman, Michelle Suh, a U.S. Army Family Member, Kelley Ezell, a U.S. Marine Corps Family Member and Bobby White, a U.S. Air Force retiree were selected as the grand prize winners in the 2012 Armed Forces Recreation Centers Great Getaways Sweepstakes.

The U.S. Army Installation Management Command Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs awarded four grand prize vacation packages: to Dragon Hill Lodge and Resort in Korea, Hale Koa Hotel in Hawaii, Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Germany and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World, Fla.

Vacation packages include airfare, hotel accommodations and spending money. The sweepstakes was sponsored by GM Military Discount.

Burshwein said he and his family "will have an opportunity to enjoy Seoul Korea's exciting shopping district as we visit and plan our trip to the Dragon Hill Lodge and Resort."

Suh, winner of the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort package, said, "We are looking forward to visiting historical sites in places we could have only dreamed of."

White said he and his family are looking forward to a break from the San Antonio, Texas, heat and enjoying moonlit strolls along the white sands of Waikiki Beach during their stay at the world-class Hale Koa Hotel.

Ezell, a military spouse stationed in Hawaii, said she is excited to be able to spend some quality time with her family at Shades of Green in Orlando, Florida.

"Life in the military does not come without hardships; however, this is the life we chose and we wouldn't have it any other way. The Marine Corps has given my husband, our Family, and me many opportunities we would not have otherwise experienced. Family and MWR are providing us with an opportunity to create family memories that will last a lifetime. We are so honored to be chosen for this prize and look forward to our vacation at Shades of Green soon," said Ezell.

The Great Getaways sweepstakes is designed to raise awareness of the Armed Forces Recreation Centers as world-class resorts, showcase their unique locations and highlight the many exciting activities service members and their Families can participate in. Ezell, White, Suh, and Brushwein were randomly selected out of more than 35,000 entries received July 2 -- Aug. 31, 2012.

In its second year of sponsoring the sweepstakes, GM Military Discount continues to be an avid supporter of military service members and their families worldwide. said Linda Stouffer, manager, GM Vehicle Purchase Programs. "Servicemembers are our true heroes, and their families sacrifice a lot to support them," Stouffer said. "Like the military discount program itself, sponsoring the sweepstakes is GM's way of honoring their commitment to our country."
