REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command Soldier retired in a ceremony at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters Oct. 17.

Lt. Col. Willie P. Collins, force management officer, loved being a Soldier so much, he rejoined active duty in 2004. He retires with 28 years of service.

During his ceremony, Col. Lester Campbell, deputy chief of staff G-8, presented Collins with a certificate of appreciation from President Obama, an American flag, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Thomas L. Mack, chief, Force Development Division, presented Collins a shadow box gift on behalf of the SMDC Future Warfare Center.
