FORT SILL, Okla.-- Operation Boots to Business is a two-day Transition Assistance Program workshop Oct. 16-17 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Truman Education Center. It's sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs to help train Soldiers who are transitioning out of the Army and looking for civilian jobs.
A minimum of 40 applicants are needed for the job training workshop. For more information call Debra Watts, Army Career and Alumni Program training manager, at 442-6428 to register.
Also, ACAP will sponsor three Virtual Job Fairs as part of the Heroes to Hire program Oct. 25, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13 at the Truman Education Center.
This is a great opportunity for Soldiers and veterans to establish connections with employers, review available jobs and schedule interviews.
