Ironhorse leadership takes on Tough Mudder

AUSTIN, Texas - Command Sgt. Maj. Mervyn Ripley, command sergeant major of 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, receives help out of an obstacle from staff members of 1BCT during the Austin, Texas 2012 Tough Mudder. Ripley said this is his third time participating in a Tough Mudder and he enjoys the challenge.

The "Kiss of Mud" obstacle consisted of a belly crawl under barbed-wire and through mud.

AUSTIN, Texas - Participants in the Austin, Texas 2012 Tough Mudder run through the final obstacle of the race known as "Electroshock Therapy," Oct. 6. Only a few random yellow strings were charged with electricity. Several members of the 1st Cavalry Division participated in the Tough Mudder.
