WASHINGTON (Aug. 30, 2012) -- Members of the Chilean military toured the Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region Joint Operations Center to evaluate command and control best practices used by the command at Fort Lesley J. McNair. Aviation General (Lt. Gen.) Cesar McNamara, deputy chief of staff - Chilean Armed Forces, and other members of the Chilean Joint Staff were briefed on the mission and capabilities of the JFHQ-NCR by its deputy commander Egon Hawrylak. JFHQ-NCR is responsible for land-based homeland defense, defense support of civil authorities and incident management in the National Capital Region.
