FORT LEE, Va. - John E. Hall, president U.S. Army Logistics University, passes the ALU colors to Col. Robert A. Harney, Jr. during an Assumption of Responsibility ceremony here, Aug. 21. Harney became the newest commandant and military deputy to the president of the university.

"How could we not be ecstatic about an assistant commandant from one of our schools coming over to assume the duties of commandant at ALU," Hall said. He brings an understanding of the Training and Doctrine Command and the needs of the schools we support.

Harney transferred from his duties as assistant commandant of the Quartermaster School to assume his current duties at the university.
