Fort A.P. Hill recognized the efforts of Department of Public Works summer interns this week at a cookout provided by the Forestry Department. The interns all work with us through Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. This is a cooperative agreement through the Department of Energy and Oak Ridge Associated Universities. The forestry interns were conducting a Forest Resource Inventory. The goal of the Forest Resource Inventory is to continually update information related to the structure, composition, volume and health of the forest resource across the installation. The Environmental and BOI interns performed site and facility surveys all over Post. Front row, from left to right, Frank J Daig, Jr and Lauren E. Didlake. Back row, LTC Peter E. Dargle, John K. Balog, Ian T. Foley, Nathan H. Balog, and Brandon E. Cooper.
