REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - Col. Douglas K. Kinder, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command chaplain, retired from the Army in a ceremony at Von Braun III Aug. 7.

During the ceremony, Kinder received the Legion of Merit, a three-star note, a certificate of appreciation and an American flag.

He retires with more than 30 years of service.
