Members of the Business Innovation Team bid farewell to Lieutenant Colonel King Kao at a gathering on 8 August 2012. LTC Kao came to the Army Office of Business Transformation in August of 2011 from the Army Materiel Command where he served there as the Executive Officer to the Chief of Staff.

While a member of the Business Innovation Directorate, LTC Kao served as an Subject Matter Expert and Strategist for Army Logistics. The Army Office of Business Transformation was implemented by law in 2009 and is the lead organization for business transformation at the Army enterprise level. The Office is led by a 3-star general and has three directorates that focus on Army business operations, transformation and innovation.

LTC Kao completed tasks as a materiel strategist. His largest effort focused OBT's Workforce Management Improvement Pilot. LTC Kao has been selected as the next Professor of Military Science at Wake Forest University. He reports for duty there later this month and is excited about working with young officer candidates in a university environment.
