2008 Land Forces Symposium

Atlanta, Ga. - Gen. (Ret.) John Abizaid, former commander of U.S. Central Command, Gen. George W. Casey Jr., chief of staff of the U.S. Army, and Lt. Gen. James J. Lovelace, commander of U.S. Army Central, engage in dialogue during the opening session of the Land Forces Symposium, Apr. 14, 2008. The theme of this year’s symposium (which delegates from 22 countries are participating in) is <i>Adaptability of Land Forces to 21st Century Security Challenges</i>. It emphasizes the importance of multinational cooperation in addressing issues both regionally and sub-regionally in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
