YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan's Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) introduced the All-You-Can-Eat Pizza and Pasta lunch deal, which provided food and fun at the Yongsan Lanes for the Area II Community, July 30.
Every Monday, Thursday, and Friday during lunch time, FMWR will serve different kinds of pizzas, pasta, salad, and breadsticks in buffet style at the Yongsan Lanes for only $7.99, allowing the Yongsan Community to save time and money, while also having fun.
Dan Melton, business operations officer for Yongsan's FMWR, who currently runs the bowling alley, explained the main purpose of the deal.
"It helps people come and get a quick, satisfying meal of something you like with variety," Melton said. "People like it because they can go back to work better since they have only a limited time during their lunch break."
Melton added that he was happy that he could help out the Community by providing a way for them to enjoy their lunch break more.
"The more I can help our customers, the better it is. That's what we are here for: serving our troops and taking care of our Community."
Dennis Graves, G-4 Mobility at 8th Army, shared his gratitude toward FMWR for coming up with the deal.
"I think it is great especially for the Soldiers because before we had this deal, sometimes the line gets too long and Soldiers only got an hour for lunch but ever since they started this buffet, it has gotten a lot faster." Graves said. "Plus, we can bowl during lunch time without rushing. I definitely appreciate what FMWR does for us."
