MARCY, N.Y. (July 24, 2012) -- New York Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters landed near here, July 12, 2012, as part of a training exercise with the Army Reserve's Company A, 401st Civil Affairs Battalion and the Maynard and Stittville Volunteer Fire Departments.

The Black Hawks from Company F, 1-169th General Support Aviation Battalion, an air ambulance unit, at Rochester, N.Y., are configured to carry stretchers and provide emergency medical assistance to casualties while en route to their care facility.

They flew in support of the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion at Webster, N.Y., which conducted the exercise to practice new skills and develop a better working relationship with both the New York Army National Guard and the local community.
