OBT's BG Karen Dyson addresses Defense comptroller Program Students
BG Karen Dyson addressed more than 30 students in the Defense Comptroller Program at Syracuse University. The topic was Business Transformation with a focus on Business Systems, Performance Management and Cost Culture. BG Dyson related how the students would encounter these issues upon graduation and returning to the Army. Being a financial manager, BG Dyson could compare and contrast her own experience against challenges students will face in the changing Army and joint environment.
Starting this year, the class solicited topics from Army Commands and the Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) for projects they could research in a consulting capacity. Working in teams, they will brief their findings and recommendations before they graduate in August.
