High Fives All Around -- As he prepared to leave the headquarters building for the final time, Combined Arms Support Command Soldiers and civilian employees surprised Maj. Gen. James L. Hodge, CASCOM and Sustainment Center of Excellence commanding general, by lining the hallway of the building to bid him farewell.

Hodge retires from active duty tomorrow after 34 years of service to the nation. His retirement ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. June 26 at the 1st Logistical Command War Memorial.

CASCOM, as a major subordinate command of the Training and Doctrine Command, trains and educates Soldiers and civilians, develops and integrates capabilities, concepts and doctrine, and executes functional proponency to enable the Army's Sustainment Warfighting Function.
