On Cyber Patrol now has a public website for monthly comic strips with articles and videos at http://ciog6.army.mil/OnCyberPatrol.aspx. Since 2005, the comic series has been promoting awareness of Army information assurance (IA) policies and best practices.

"Whether it's defending data at work or personal data at home, learn your vulnerabilities and how to respond proactively," said Maj. Gen. Steve Smith, Cybersecurity Director, Army Chief Information Office/G-6. "None of us can rely on someone else to protect us."

For CAC-enabled visitors, the website also links to the One Stop Shop for Army Information Assurance at https://informationassurance.us.army.mil. The re-designed One Stop Shop is the authoritative online resource for Army IA policy, guidance, tools, templates and collaboration. It also includes discussion forums, a calendar of events, blogs, document bookmarking and links to other IA professional sites.

These IA resources go a long way to helping Army members, leaders and IA professionals improve the Army IA posture and create an information environment resistant to cyber threats, said Smith. Resources can be found quickly and intuitively and they support IA professional needs as well.

The IA website is built on the milSuite platform--a collection of online tools and applications that provide collaboration and secure communities for DoD. With CAC authentication, milSuite offers similar experiences to social media applications in the public domain.
