The annual Bataan Memorial Death March brought more than 5,000 participants together for a 26.2 mile walk at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., on Sunday, March 30th. The memorial walk commemorates the thousands of American and Filipino soldiers who were force-marched through the Philippine jungles during the early days of the U.S. involvement in World War II. Participants representing every military service were on hand for the day-long event.
