CASCOM prepares for change of command

Support Starts Here - In preparation for the upcoming change of command ceremony, Col. Dennis P. Harber, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command chief of staff, closely observes Soldiers conducting a practice today in front of the headquarters building.

CASCOM will welcome Maj. Gen. Larry Wyche as its new commanding general during the 10 a.m. June 26 ceremony on Sgt. Seay Field. Wyche will succeed Maj. Gen. James L. Hodge, who will be retiring in a separate ceremony.

Wyche, an Emporia, Va. native, joins the Fort Lee team from the U.S. Army Materiel Command, where he served as the G 3/5 deputy chief of staff for Logistics and Operations.

CASCOM, as a major subordinate command of the Training and Doctrine Command, trains and educates Soldiers and civilians, develops and integrates capabilities, concepts and doctrine, and executes functional proponency to enable the Army's Sustainment Warfighting Function.
