YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- In order to enrich the lives and careers of Community members, Army Community Service of U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan held a job fair at the Dragon Hill Lodge, May 18.

Community members including Servicemembers, Family members, Retirees, Civilians, and local Nationals were all invited to interact with a rich and diverse group of employers offering a range of positions from technical jobs, appropriated fund positions to volunteer opportunities.

Thirty-eight employers from all over the peninsula gathered to provide information about their website, work and projects and help potential employees apply for openings. The businesses also educated job fair participants on what level of education or experience was needed to successfully apply for a job.

"We've just moved here as we move around the world with our contracting company and I was feeling kind of lost where to even go," said Marce Ewing, Spouse of a contractor. "I found it very helpful to be able to talk face to face to people, have questions answered and get a necessary service for those coming in and trying to find their jobs."

Col. William Huber and Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Willing, USAG Yongsan garrison commander and command sergeant major, respectively, also attended the ACS Job Fair and shared their thoughts with the employers and employees.

"When a member of the Yongsan Community is hired, it creates an opportunity beyond a job and a paycheck," Huber said. "Hiring a Spouse, a Dependent or a Retiree gives them an opportunity to serve those who serve their country so selflessly. The commitment the Spouses and Family members show is an asset to all."
