Retired Astronaut Col. William McArthur, Jr., visited Fort Bragg, April 30. He stopped by Shughart Elementary and Middle School as part of the Fort Bragg community relations initiating "Little Heroes" program. McArthur talked to the children about the importance of the shuttle missions, his trip into space, life aboard the space station, the future of space travel and the importance of education.
"Take advantage of your education, you are the future," McArthur told the children. "You aren't responsible for the state of the world, we are, the adults. But you have the ability to change our future."
