FORT HOOD--Vanessa Vinson, a former avionics mechanic specialist who was wounded during her 2008-2009 deployment to Afghanistan, is now an employee with the Department of Treasury Austin bureau, thanks to Fort Hood Warrior Transition Brigade's Operation Warfighter. Vinson was on hand April 23 to share her experiences with other transitioning soldiers during the WTB's day-long Operation Warfighter Career Fair. More than a dozen federal agencies were on hand to help and guide soldiers in their transitioning process, which included career information, agency briefings, resume reviews and job leads.
