U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jonathan Maddux, Program Executive Officer,

Ammunition, stands proudly with this son, United States Military Academy

(USMA) cadet Jon Maddux at the conclusion of the 2012 National Collegiate

Boxing Association Championships hosted at the Air Force Academy's Clune

Arena April 5-7. The younger Maddux, a member of USMA's boxing team, not

only won the national title in his 175-lbs weight class at the event but was

also named "Outstanding Boxer for the Heavyweight Division."

Overall, USMA's team, which had won the last four titles, finished third at

the championships.

"The entire USMA team fought great and gave all they had. Boxing is an

affair of the Heart and events like this instill great discipline into our

future leaders," said the proud father, Brig. Gen. Maddux, PEO Ammo,

Picatinny Arsenal, N.J.
