DA photo services to continue

By Fort Sill Visual Information CenterApril 19, 2012

Due to a funding reduction, graphic arts, multimedia and television production services of the Visual Information Center have been temporarily suspended.

Photographic services such as Department of Army, passport and command photos will continue to be provided. In addition, a photographer may be requested to photograph events where a general officer is participating.

To schedule a DA photo appointment, go to https://www.vios-west.army.mil. Command, passport and naturalization photos are done on a walk-in basis.

For non-CAC card users go to https://www.vios-akowest.army.mil. Select "Type of Photography" on the drop-down menu, Select: DA Photo to use the Fort Sill Photo Studio. Review the calendar and select an open date and time for your appointment.

People arriving for an appointment at Building 3162, Harvey Road, Room 110 must fill out a work order with personnel information required on the DA photo. They may choose which photo will be uploaded to DAPMIS. AR-640-30, "Photographs for Military Human Resources Records," and AR-670-1, "Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms" will provide guidance and information on how to prepare for a DA photo.

E-mail the VIC, at Kristine.l.lantgen.civ@mail.mil to request a copy of the local DA photo and command photo information sheet that includes information to answer questions.
