Richard Albietz from the Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Internal Review Office is the recipient of the Department of the Army FY11 Resource Management Individual Award for Analysis/Evaluation, organizations below Army Command level.

The award recognizes the Army's resource management community's best performers and the outstanding work they accomplished during the period October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011.

Albietz recommended the development of a training program and a standard operating procedure that cut the processing time for review of information technology waiver requests from 80 to 20 days. His analysis of the field level Reset process in the Logistics and Readiness Center resulted in an improved financial review process that translates into cost savings for the Army.

Maj. Gen. Robert S. Ferrell, CECOM Commanding General, presented Albietz with a Two Star Note during a command-wide award ceremony held on April 2. An award plaque and certificate signed by the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller, will be presented to Albietz during a future ceremony recognizing all recipients of the Army FY11 Resource Management Awards.
