FORT POLK, La. - Soldiers from, 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment deployed to the Joint Readiness Training Center in March with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI) to assist in training hundreds of members of Security Force Assistance Teams. The SFATs will be deploying to Afghanistan to advise and assist Afghanistan's police and military to facilitate the transition of the country's security to them.
