Soldiers of the 99th Regional Support Command conduct funeral-honors training March 24 at the Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Cinnaminson Township, N.J. The rendering of military funeral honors is a way to show the nation's deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended their country. This ceremonial paying of respect is the final demonstration a grateful nation can provide to the veterans' families. The 99th Regional Support Command provides BASOPS support to over 51,000 Army Reserve Soldiers, units, facilities and equipment in its thirteen state area of responsibility. Specific services performed are those human resources, logistical, financial, facilities, equipment maintenance, information management and well-being functions provided by Army Installations. The 99th RSC also exercises command and control over five USAR bands that include the 78th Army Band from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.Y.; 94th Army Band from East Windsor, Conn.; 198th Army Band from Rochester, N.Y.; 319th Army Band from Fort Totten, N.Y.; and the 380th Army Band from Richmond, Va.
