REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command hosted a town hall at Redstone Arsenal March 20 and in Colorado Springs on March 23.

Lt. Gen. Richard P. Formica, SMDC commanding general, uses the forum as a way to update the workforce on current issues facing the command, recognize individual and unit achievements, acknowledge length of service awards and take questions from the work force that will either be addressed by leadership present or worked to find the answer.

Awards presented were:

Length of service acknowledgments - Huntsville employees with 30 years of service - LaJeannia J. Lacey, Theresa B. Gopher, Brian W. Hunter, Carolyn S. Randles, Dennis L. Shirah, Kathy A. Simmons; Colorado Springs employees with 30 years of service: Daniel J. Selman; Huntsville employees with 35 years of service: Janie Montgomery, Robert A. Snead; Colorado Springs employees with 35 years of service: Randolph Wampler; and Lt. Col. Patrick J. Del Guidice, Collorado Springs, Defense Long Service Medal.

Other awards presented were: Willard Clapp, Colorado Springs, with a Superior Civilian Service; John Moons, Colorado Springs, with a Superior Civilian Service; John Klemencic, Colorado Springs, with a Commander's Award for Civilian Service; Christopher Berisford, Colorado Springs, Achievement Medal for Civilian Service; Benjamin Spears, Huntsville, with a Commander's Award for Civilian Service; George W. Welch Jr., Huntsville, with a Commander's Award for Civilian Service; and Lt. Col. Scott Tourney, Colorado Springs, with an Army Commendation Medal.
