FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. -- In a visit to Fort Leonard Wood last week, members of a congressional

staff delegation said they were "extremely pleased" with Fort Leonard Wood's policies and the breadth and depth of the programs targeted toward prevention of sexual assault and harassment.

The programs and education start as early as the reception battalion and continue into initial military training, leader development and functional courses, which include prevention training and training for investigators.

The group toured various functions of the installation, received a command briefing and attending a Basic Combat Training class on sexual assault prevention with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment.
