Lt. Col. John Amberg, OCPA-MW, talks about his experiences in Germany on the night the Berlin Wall fell at the dedication ceremony of the Cold War Memorial Saturday, January 19 in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood. The memorial, housed in the Chicago Transit Authority's Brown Line Western station, features a section of the Berlin Wall, donated by the City of Berlin. Lt. Col. Amberg was stationed in Neu Ulm, Germany, when the Berlin Wall fell.
