REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- The U.S. Army Materiel Command Band from Redstone Arsenal will perform a FREE Holiday Concert for the community "A New Home for the Holidays" on Sunday, December 11 at 3:30pm at The Thurber Arts Center, Randolph School, located at 4915 Garth Road in Huntsville.
The concert is the first annual holiday concert performed by the AMC Band since their arrival to Redstone Arsenal earlier this year. The band, led by Commander/Conductor Chief Warrant Officer Four Pete Gillies, will perform a vast array of holiday classics ranging from the Nutcracker and You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch to Handel's Hallelujah Chorus.
The Master of Ceremonies for the concert is local news anchor Greg Screws of WHNT Channel 19, who will also be performing 'Twas the Night Before Christmas with the AMC Band. The concert will also include an audience sing-a-long and several other surprises along the way.
