Wayne Adkins, assistant chief of the Chickahominy Tribe and president of the Virginia Indian Tribal Alliance for Life, spoke to the Fort A.P. Hill workforce at the Native American Heritage Month observance Nov. 8 at Fort A.P. Hill. Employees also enjoyed and participated in dances with Adkins and Col. (Ret.) John Fortune, Counsel Member of the Rappahannock Tribe. Wanda Fortune of the Fort A.P. Hill Resource Managment Office provided Native American food dishes for sampling and display tables.
