The Fort A.P. Hill Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Directorate
opened two new log cabins this Fall and held a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct.
27 to celebrate the newest additions to its lodging inventory. F&MWR worked
with TMG Services, Inc. of King George County to build the cabins, a project
that began September 2010. The cost of the capital purchase and minor
construction project was $685 thousand in non-appropriated funds. NAF money
is generated within the F&MWR Directorate and reinvested within the
installation to enhance more recreational opportunities for the Soldiers and
their Families. The cabins are open to active duty personnel, military
retirees, Department of Defense civilians, their guests and family members.
