More than 30,000 runners registered to participate in the 2011 Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C., Oct. 9, 2011. The race started and ended at the Pentagon, taking runners past the major Washington, D.C., landmarks and memorials including the Washington Monument, the Kennedy Center and the U.S. Capitol Building.
